Terms of Use

In short: By using Locary you agree to these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA. Monthly and annual Pro plans renew automatically after any eligible free trial; Lifetime Pro is a one-time, non-renewing purchase. All purchases are billed by Apple.

1. Acceptance and Apple terms

By downloading or using Locary (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”) and the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple Standard EULA”). If they conflict, the Apple Standard EULA governs the application license and these Terms provide App-specific terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License

Gentleflow grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control as permitted by App Store rules. The App is licensed, not sold. You may not copy, redistribute, rent, sell, sublicense, bypass access controls, or reverse engineer it except where law expressly permits.

3. What Locary provides

Locary is a personal tool for attaching text, photos, videos, voice, music details, and other memories to places, then browsing, searching, reviewing, and exporting them. Features may change as the App improves. Locary is not an emergency, navigation-safety, or guaranteed backup service.

4. Your content and acceptable use

• You retain any rights you have in content you create or import. You are responsible for having the right to store and share it.
• You may not use the App to violate law or others' rights, store unlawful content, disrupt the App or its providers, or evade purchase and entitlement controls.
• Be cautious when exporting memories: a backup can contain sensitive location, text, and media information. You control its destination through Apple's share sheet.

5. Locary Pro purchases

• Locary may offer monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions and a one-time Lifetime Pro non-consumable purchase. They unlock the Pro features described in the App at purchase, such as unlimited memories, the complete timeline, backup export, private iCloud sync, and ongoing Pro enhancements.
• The localized price, billing period, included features, and any free-trial duration are shown before confirmation. The monthly plan may include a three-day free trial and the annual plan may include a seven-day free trial for eligible Apple Accounts. Eligibility is determined by Apple.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends; Apple may charge renewal within 24 hours before that time.
• An eligible free trial converts to the displayed paid plan unless canceled before the trial ends. Deleting the App does not cancel an active subscription.
• Manage or cancel in iOS Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions. Use “Restore Purchases” in the App to restore eligible entitlements. Refunds and billing disputes are handled by Apple under App Store rules.
• Lifetime Pro is charged once and does not automatically renew. It unlocks the current App's Pro feature set for the supported lifetime of Locary; it does not promise that every future online service will be provided forever without separate terms.
• Access may end if a transaction expires, is refunded, or is revoked. Subscription features provide ongoing value through continued Pro access and product enhancements, but individual features may evolve.

6. Local data, iCloud sync, and backups

Locary stores map content and media locally by default. If a Pro user enables sync, the App may upload a current snapshot and referenced Locary-managed media to that user's private iCloud database; downloading an existing snapshot is available without Pro. Sync depends on the user's Apple Account, iCloud storage, network, device settings, and Apple services. A restore can replace current local data after confirmation. Locary does not guarantee uninterrupted sync or preservation against every loss, so keep separate exported copies of anything important. Export success also depends on available device storage and the destination you choose.

7. Location and third-party services

CloudKit/iCloud, maps, geocoding, permissions, payments, and sharing rely on Apple services, and purchase management relies on RevenueCat, as described in the Privacy Policy. Their availability and terms also apply. Do not rely on Locary for emergency response, safety-critical navigation, or precise surveying.

8. Intellectual property and feedback

The App's code, design, artwork, templates, supplied text, and Locary branding belong to Gentleflow or its licensors and are protected by law. These Terms do not grant rights in our trademarks. If you send feedback, you permit us to use it without restriction or compensation, without publicly identifying you unless you agree.

9. Availability and disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, security, accuracy, or preservation of data. Nothing excludes a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gentleflow is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential loss, lost data, or lost profits. Where liability cannot be excluded, aggregate liability arising from the App is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the event. Mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.

11. Changes, termination, and law

You may stop using the App at any time. We may limit services or terminate this license for material breach, misuse, or legal or security risk. We may update these Terms and will post material revisions with a new effective date. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries as provided in the Apple Standard EULA. These Terms are governed by the laws of the developer's principal place of business while preserving mandatory protections and forums in your country of residence.
